Helpful Hints for Gardening Hands

I’ve gone through lotion like crazy this winter, trying to keep my hands moisturized and protected from the dry indoor heat and cold outdoor temps. And I’ve done a pretty good job! So the last thing I want to do is roughen them up now that gardening season has started. But then I remembered some of these old-time tricks:

·        Before heading out to the garden, lightly scratch your fingernails over a bar of soap. Come clean-up time, the dirt and soap washes right out.
·        For quick and easy clean-up once you’re done with your yard work, place a bar of soap in the toe of an old nylon stocking or panty hose leg, and hang it near an outdoor faucet. Instead of making a mess inside the house, you can scrub up outside without even having to take the soap out of the stocking. And the texture from the nylon will help you scrub every inch clean.
·        Once you’re inside, clean the soapy residue out from under your nails by digging your fingers into the juicy flesh of half a lemon. Keep them there for one minute, then rinse them clean.
·        Restore moisture to your nails by soaking your fingertips in ½ cup of warmed olive oil for 15 to 30 minutes once a week.

And for a quick fix, nothing beats the power-packed formula of Baker’s Best Anti-Aging & Wrinkle Cream. Our amazing “Dream Cream” is fresh, gentle, and highly effective.
