It’s always with me—in my
purse, in my pocket—wherever I can easily get my hands on it. What is it? Lip
balm! It’s just what the doctor ordered for soothing and smoothing my lips all
year long. But here’s what I’ve discovered: Lip balm is good for so much more
than keeping my lips luscious. Here’s just a small taste of what it can do for
you:
·
If you cut
yourself shaving, you can stop the bleeding pronto with a dab of lip balm.
·
To protect your
skin from windburn, rub some lip balm on your face before you hit the slopes,
trail, or ice rink.
·
When a ring just
won’t slide off your fingers, coat the skin under and around the ring with lip
balm.
·
Tame misbehaving
eyebrows with a slick of lip balm. (It’ll keep the ends of a flyaway mustache
under control, too!)
·
Before you dye
your hair, wipe lip balm along your hairline. That way, you’ll color your hair
and not your skin.
·
Moisturize dry
cuticles by rubbing some lip balm on them. Massage the balm all around each
nail bed, then gently push back the cuticles.
And here’s how the trusty
little tube can help out around the house:
·
When you need a
shoeshine in a hurry and you’re out of polish, rub the leather with lip balm,
and buff it with a clean, soft cloth.
·
Tired of
struggling with a stubborn zipper? It’ll run smoothly if you lubricate the
teeth with a little lip balm.
·
Drawers and
windows will open and close more easily if you smear the gliders with lip balm.
