This year, why not skip
the usual tacky tie and gag greeting card? Most dads would simply prefer
spending time with their kids (no matter what age) to receiving a gift on
Father’s Day.
So think about what your
dad enjoys doing most and plan a day with that activity as the focus. If your
dad…
…loves being active
outside, map out a bike ride or take a hike along a nature trail.
…wants to spend a day
relaxing, invite him over for a day in your shady backyard. Fire up the
barbecue and show off your grilling skills, then get the whole family involved
in a game of volleyball, horseshoes, or croquet.
…is a big fan of the
movies, go to the local cinema and catch the latest summer blockbuster.
…appreciates the finer
things in life, wine and dine him at a gourmet restaurant.
…enjoys America’s favorite
pastime, take him out to the ballgame. Catch his favorite team and treat dear
old dad to all the trimmings—hotdogs, peanuts, and an ice-cold beer.
…has been asking you to
golf with him, make a tee time. Or go fishing if that’s what floats Dad’s boat.
The point is to spend time together.
No matter how you decide
to spoil your dad, enjoy! Happy Father’s Day!
