- Use lip balms that contain beeswax. They’ll protect your lips without creating a glossy oil slick.
- Run a humidifier to add moisture to the air and counteract the lip-drying effects of your furnace.
- Don’t lick those smackers! It’ll dry lips out even more.
- Kick the habit. Smoking makes lips more prone to drying and chapping.
- Whip up a homemade lip scrub by adding a few drips of grapefruit juice to a tablespoon of granulated sugar in a small bowl. Mix it together with your fingers until the sugar is saturated, then rub it onto your lips. After 5 minutes, rinse with cool water and coat your smooth, soft lips with lip balm.
