- Bananas, rice, applesauce, and toast are all bland and binding foods that are easy to digest and give your body the nutrition it needs while your stomach’s recovering.
- If your tummy’s doing flip-flops, grab an uncut lemon, scratch into the peel, and sniff the clean, fresh citrus scent.
- The volatile oils in peppermint can help counteract nausea. Simply uncap a vial of peppermint essential oil and inhale for a few seconds. If that doesn’t work, place a single drop of peppermint oil on your tongue to calm stomach upset that often accompanies a hangover.
- Sip a sports drink to settle things down. Or, if you don’t like the taste of sports drinks, reach for carrot juice instead. Both choices are loaded with potassium and sodium, so they’ll restore your electrolyte balance in you’ve been vomiting.
