Last week’s Earth Day celebration has come and gone, but that doesn’t mean we all shouldn’t still be thinking green.
For example, it goes without saying that you should eat plenty of fiber-rich oatmeal for a healthy heart—and use it to soften your face, soothe your aching feet, and nourish your plants. But what do you do with all of the empty oatmeal canisters? Plenty! Here are a few of my favorite ideas:
· Use them as storage containers in the workshop or craft room.
· Mold big pillar candles in them.
· Fill them with tissue paper and use them as gift boxes.
· Turn them into building blocks or bongo drums for the kids.
· Cover them in decorative fabric and use them as vases for dried flowers.
