Mmmmm, there’s nothing quite like the rich aroma of cinnamon to really spice up the holidays. Try one of these remarkable recipes to get your whole house smelling divine.

Cinnamon Ornaments:

These great-smelling ornaments make neat homemade Christmas gifts. The kids and grandkids will have a blast making these special treats.

Mix 1 cup of ground cinnamon with 4 tablespoons of white glue, and gradually add in the water. Sprinkle ground cinnamon on a cutting board or counter, and roll out the dough to about ¼-inch thick. Cut shapes from the dough with cookie cutters, and poke a hole at the top of each for hanging on the tree later. Let the ornaments dry at room temperature for 2 days, turning every 8 hours or so. You can decorate your pretty new ornaments with white paint, or just hang them as-is on the tree using colorful ribbons.

Anise-Cinnamon Tea

Combine 1 cup of water, 1 teaspoon of aniseed, ¼ teaspoon of cinnamon, 1 tablespoon of lemon juice, and 1 tablespoon of honey in a small pan. Bring just to a boil, lower the heat, and simmer for 5 to 10 minutes. Strain and serve hot.
